More Ideas for Easy Soups for the Holiday Season

When I was a child I remember once a month my dad would take everything that was left in the fridge and make soup, we use to call it succotash. now might be the perfect time to make left over stew for yourself.  During the holiday season when busy going from event to event you throwing together a easy soup is just the ticket to sanity and peace. You can  make a nice soup or stew with what you have in your in your kitchen.   Soups and stews tend to have several ingredients that you already have in your pantry, your refrigerator. or cabinets. So instead of having to go grocery shopping you might just pop into the store and pick up one or two items. Soups, stews and chili are not only easy meals that can be filing they are also easy to take with you in a thermos or carry container to heat up at another place later.  It can be used for lunch, or a church or school kitchen, or a friends house.  Soups are really economical too.  They can be some of the cheapest meals you can find.  Of course it depends on your ingredients

There are so many different flavors that you can find something that your family will love.  You can have chunky soups, pureed soups, chili, beans soups vegetables soups, meat soups, you name it you can make a soup out of it.  Soups, chili and stews often freeze well too.  So you can make a big batch and then freeze some for later in the week or later in the month.
