Cultivating health is about creating the life you want! Cultivating health is a process. At the beginning of January we started cultivating health in several areas of our lives. Now it is time to look at our checklist and see how we are doing with our health goals. Here are the areas I asked you to create goals for in 2013. Did you create any others?
- Relationship/Family goals
- Spiritual Practices Goals
- Play/Stress Management
- Dreams/Hopes that you secretly want but don’t believe you can create
For this first month did you get a journal and write them down? How did that process go for you? Writing down your goals is your first step to achieving them. Success experts, like Stephen Covey or Darren Hardy require you to write down your goals. It is your first commitment to achieving them. It makes them more tangible. After you write down you goals, put them in a place where you can see them each day. It will remind you what you want to cultivate in your life. It is also important to see a balanced set of goals so you can create a balanced life.
How are you doing so far?
My health goal has already shifted because I have had to concentrate on supporting my immune system to protect myself from the early cold and flu season. That is OK. Sometimes in life we have to make shifts in our goals. I’m working on the other areas and I've made at least one step in the right direction in the other areas. Baby steps count, so I am happy.
