Here are the Recipes from the 5th Annual JBS Health & Wellness Fair

 

3 cups of watermelon chopped
¾ cup of raspberries
6-7 cups of water
liquid stevia 10 drops

Blend watermelon, raspberries and 2 cups of water until pureed. Strain puree into a pitcher add the addition 4 cups of the water.  Add stevia to taste (5-10 drops). Serve Chilled.

You can substitute your favorite fruits in your puree.  It is a great way to get more water into your every day.

 

Silky Strawberry "Ice Cream"

¼ cup of almonds
¼ cup of pecans
2 cups of organic frozen strawberries
2 Tablespoon of agave nectar

In a vitamix add the almonds, pecans, strawberries, and agave.  Using the tamper mash the ingredients against the blades to create the soft serve consistency.  Start with the lowest speed and increase to 10 on low then move to high speed.  Continue for 2-3 minutes until nuts are completely blended with the fruit.

spice it up gazpacho soup full of lycopene and antioxidants.

3 ripe tomatoes, chopped
1/4 cup red onion, finely chopped
1/2 cup cucumber, peeled, seeded, chopped
1/2 cup red pepper seeded and chopped
1/2 cup celery, finely chopped
1 Tbsp chopped fresh parsley
2 Tbsp chopped fresh chives
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/4 cup red wine vinegar
1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
2 cups tomato juice
Juice of 1/2 lemon freshly squeezed
pinch of Sea Salt
pinch Freshly ground pepper
1 heaping pinch red pepper chili flakes
cayenne pepper

Blend to desired consistency about 1 minute and 30 seconds.  Serve immediately or chill and let flavors blend.
