Spending Quiet Time with My Meditation Group

For the past 18 months I have had the great privilege to be part of a mediation group.  In the Buddhist tradition a community of people getting together to meditation and talk about Buddhist teachings is known as a Sangha. It is hosted in Tenleytown from 7:30 - 8:15 am every Monday through Friday.

I have found it to be a loving experience where people get together in community to support one another emotionally, mentally and spiritually.  Once a month we meet on a Saturday from 9-10:30am so we could have more time to talk about questions around our meditation practice.  It is wonderful time when we are not rushing around to work to socialize and get to know one another.

This month, one of our most experienced teachers has a farm on MD and invited us to meditate on his farm.  It was such a beautiful experience!  Listening to the birds was so different from hearing the traffic on Wisconsin Ave.

One of the reasons I started YourOneSweetLife.com is to highlight how every day experiences create our #OneSweetLife.  Being able to go to the farm and spend the day in nature, with good friends is what I would call an example of a sweet life.  It was a beautiful day because I was able to get away from the bustle of the city and just relax and enjoy friendship and nature.

Here are some of the great pictures of the farm.  Enjoy them.

Enjoy your one sweet life,

Dr. Dae
