If you are like me, you can get a touch of winter blues after months of cold weather & you are ready for spring to arrive! We spring forward with daylight savings time and days are starting to get longer.
Spring is my favorite time of year, mostly because it is the time when nature explodes with new life. Because my birthday is this month, I also spend time in self-reflection. In the last 12 months, I have powerfully changed my practice to a system where people are having incredible results and they are living more energetic, purpose driven lives. I’m so grateful to be a part of their journey.
This change has happened because I put in countless hours of hard work to create personal experiences and education that is life changing for our practice members. It has come with some personal cost to me!
In an effort to grow my practice, I was saying YES to everything and NO to nothing. I was working 12-hour days, many weekends and turning down opportunities to spend time with friends and family members. I was eating out way too much (which, when you are eating out, good choices instead of fast/cheap food can add up!). I was keeping my computer on past 10 pm and waking up early to start the process over again. Guess what happened – I exhausted myself. Does any of this sound familiar to any of you?
In my self-reflection, I have decided that I need to make personal, renewal time part of my life every 3 months. So, my theme for this month is, of course, Renew, and live a Sweet Life!
Spring is a time of renewal, new growth, and new possibilities! How have I decided to renew myself? I have decided to take a 4-day weekend and rest, sleep, read, sit in the sunlight, take walks in nature, and eat healthy meals. It is time with myself no one is going with me. I am going to be loyal only to myself for 4 days. For me, this is heaven!
Don’t worry, Michele and Lauren will still be in the office to answer the phones and continue to support you while I am away.
Renewal is part of our everyday experience. However, when you are overworked or overwhelmed in your every day experience you need to create simple behaviors or time to stop and re-assess and reprioritize your activities.
