The purpose of medications and supplements
In this final installment of this month’s newsletter, we will be discussing the purpose of medications and supplements.
Did you ever consider that the symptoms you're dealing with are really your body’s way of talking to you? It is your body's subtle (or sometimes not so subtle) way of telling you that you need to make changes because it is moving out of balance.
So, when you eat, for example, that overstuffed polish sausage with chili and fake cheese, and then get horrible stomach pains, your body is giving you information. It is telling you to stop eating that crap! It is not telling you to take tums with calcium or go to your doctor and get Nexium or some other protein pump inhibitor medication.
Our bodies have an incredible capacity to heal from all types of chronic conditions, digestive issues, anxiety, depression, heart disease, diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol and being overweight... but we have to listen to the signals and be able to interpret them correctly. Our team takes pride in using our expertise about the body and coaching you back to wellness.
Pharmaceutical medications are not designed to assist your body in the healing process. Instead, they are designed to eliminate the symptoms and alter the way the body works. This is why so many people get upset once they start taking medications to get rid of their symptoms, only to find out they have to continue taking them for the rest of their lives. It is one of the top complaints that people come into our practice with. Here is the truth: pharmaceuticals are not designed to heal your body.
If you don’t want to take medications for the rest of your life, you have to do something different than what you did to get yourself in your current state of health. You have to make a decision to change your lifestyle.
I know this can seem like a daunting choice, because if you knew what to do you would have already made the changes. I know we're all are doing the best that we know how to do. But here's the thing: when we know better we do better!
The purpose of my life is to teach people how to create one sweet (and healthy) life! My team is committed to helping every member of our practice achieve their health goals. We want you to learn how to do it in a fun way!
Life is meant to be enjoyed so we can live our purpose and share our expertise with others. If you are ready to live your purpose, come and let us share our expertise in living a healthy life with you.
To Your One Sweet Life,
