Chickpeas are a great snack and when included as part of a healthy diet have been shown to reduce appetite and help with weight loss. They have also been shown to support insulin release so they balance blood sugars and help with weight loss. Makes 6 servings.
1 teaspoon of tahini
1 1/2 cup of chickpeas (15ounce can, drained)
1/2 teaspoon of sea salt
1 1/2 tablespoon of extra virgin olive oil
1-2 garlic cloves
1/4 cup of roasted red peppers
1 juice of 1 lemon
1. In the bowl of a food processor, add tahini, chickpeas, salt, oil, garlic, roasted peppers, and lemon juice.
2. Blend for 1 minute or until smooth.
3. Enjoy with raw vegetables, or whole grain crackers.
