Simple Acts can Lead to Sweet Moments
Sometimes the sweetest moments are the most simple. As I mentioned yesterday, I was feeling wore down and imposed mandatory self-care. This morning I still need self-care. I need to be gentle with myself and not go full throttle today either.
So I started this morning with a hot cup of magic mineral broth. It is a vegetarian broth created my by friend, Chef Rebecca Katz, while she was cooking for cancer patients. It is a warming nutrient-rich broth that makes you feel healthier with each sip. It was so enjoyable to sit in the warmth and quiet of the bed and sip this loving soup first thing in the morning. It is definitely the sweet spot of my day.
Sometimes the simplest acts can be the sweetest. Today I decided not to rush out of bed to start my day. Instead, I decided to savor the opening moments of my day, to strengthen myself and give myself permission to slowly and mindfully begin the day.
