Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup Smoothie
I just can’t help myself. I love combining chocolate and peanut butter because it is soooo good. When we think about health benefits of peanuts usually we think protein, but peanuts are high in antioxidants too. Combining peanuts with dark chocolate makes this smoothie an anti-aging, anti-cancer, anti-inflammatory powerhouse. The fiber, magnesium and Vitamin E are nutrient bonuses.
¼ cup of peanut butter
1 tablespoon of dark cocoa powder or use a chocolate protein powder
½ of a frozen banana
1 cup of soy milk (or milk alternative)
*1 teaspoon of raw turbinado sugar, to taste – since cocoa is not sweet by nature you might find that you need to add a little sweetness to smooth out the taste.
In a blender add all ingredients and blend for 1 minute.
