On a recent Friday afternoon, I had the pleasure of enjoying lunch with a group of inspiring women, all committed to improving their health while living with purpose. During our conversation, we reflected on how much the vegan dining scene has evolved. When I first started my plant-based journey over 30 years ago, finding nourishing, delicious vegan meals was a challenge. Back then, options were incredibly limited, and plant-based dining was far from mainstream.
Fast forward to today, and the vegan dining landscape has transformed. Even traditional restaurants now offer more than just a basic salad—many feature creative, flavorful vegan dishes that make plant-based eating easier than ever. With more options available, incorporating plant-based meals into your lifestyle is not only simple but incredibly satisfying.
During our conversation, I shared with the group a few of my favorite plant-based restaurants in the DC area. These spots offer more than just great food—they provide a memorable dining experience. I thought I’d share them with you, too! If you have a favorite vegan or plant-forward restaurant, drop it in the comments—I’m always excited to discover new places!
